My stay at Casa Maya Holbox had its ups and downs. The location was very nice, right on a beautiful stretch of beach, but the overall condition of the rooms was disappointing. I experienced noise issues from the nightclub next door that really affected my sleep, and some basic amenities were lacking.

The cabanas were below standard. I had issues like a missing toilet seat and a sink barely attached to the wall. Plus, hot water was unreliable and I had to ask for it to be turned on consistently.

My stay at Casa Maya Holbox had some really nice moments, like the comfy bed and the prime beach location, but also a few downsides. The free breakfast on the beach was pretty sweet, yet I couldn't really enjoy the coffee. One major issue was the incredibly loud bar next door that ruined my sleep, which was a huge bummer. Overall, it was a mixed experience that could easily be improved.
